I've never seen one of Card's plays. Probably because I've never lived in Utah, where his theater company was based, and I am not a Mormon. But I would like to see two of his plays turned into novels, as he did with STONE TABLES.

Both of these were listed in STORYTELLER: THE OFFICIAL BIBLIOGRAPHY.

Hearts of Gold (1971) - A romantic comedy set in the Alaskan Gold Rush? Very un-Card-like (& therefore would be fun to revisit this tale).

Father, Mother, Mother, and Mom (1973) - A serious, non-judgemental, dramatic look at pluralism and how it affected families in the late 1800's.

What do the rest of you think? As much as I enjoy science fiction and Biblical retellings, I would like Card to try his hand at these other genres, too

Pluralism usually means something different than polygamy. My grasp on it is a bit slippery, but it means to not have only one way of looking at the world. Kind of like multi-culturalism.

I think Card does write other things, but publishers most want to publish books similar to those he has sold successfully in the past.
