I was in Spokane this weekend and I went to a bookstore of course, and there were signed copies of two of the Shadow books. I wanted one, but I already owned them both. I didn't get one because of that. Now I'm thinking I should have just bought one for collector's purposes. But I didn't know he was in Spokane and if he can go to Spokane, why not the much more beautiful and wonderful territory west of the Cascades? [Grumble]

Oh, for pete's sake, if you already OWN it, spend your precious book money on something else!

Like buying my books to give as gifts!

No, no, Bad Smeagol! We don't want kind master to waste his money!

I have a question.. If you found a signed copy why didn't you just buy it and donate the other to the local library?

It puts the book in the library!

Never let someone borrow Ender's Game. That one book led to about 200 bucks of mine spent on Mr. Card's other stuff. And the tragic thing is that half of them are scattered and lost in the abyss (or my big brother stoled them when he moved out. Jerk!)
