(Whatch out, THIS THREAD HAS SERIOUSE XENOCIDE SPOILERS!) Ok, lets talk about one of Card's major themes in his smash novel Xenocide. You know I feel bad calling something so massive a novel....Can one say ANTHOLOGY? Anyway, one of the majors things he deals with is the mental disease that effects a good amount of the earth. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I would know all about this having such a disease, and to tell the truth, if you don't have the affliction you will never understand the feeling. And yet I have never had anyone else explain the disease in such a dead-on way. The way Card describes the push of the Gods is almost perfect. Which brings me to my point. Do you think that he's got it? The OCD, I mean. I don't know anyone else ever describe it so well........it leads me to think how he knows the raw feeling.....what do you think?

I read a book about it - "The Boy Who Couldn't Stop Washing." I have also known people with OCD. But no, I've never had anything like the kind of compulsions and obsessions depicted in Xenocide. But I'm glad you feel like I did a decent job of portraying it.
