Well I just got back from the signing about an hour ago. It was a very long drive there and back but it was worth it. I didn't have a ticket but luckly they had plenty of room.
Orson started by explaining a few things about his books so no one asked questions about it. He made it clear that Bean and Alvin are going to be dead, dead, dead, dead, dead. Then he answered a few questions, he took about then minutes for each.
Then he started the signing. I waited in line with the most nerdiest nerd that ever walk the planet (but I'm a nerd as well so we got along just fine). It took me and hour and forty-five minutes to get to him. Maybe one of you guys saw me, I was the tall red-headed kid in a black shirt that was very loud and probly annoying.

It was funny, one of the guys in front of me ask Orson to write 'Live long and prosper' in his copy of Ender's Game. Then when it was my turn to get my Magic Street sign I told him "I just got to say you are my Idol." I can't remember exactaly what he said but I beleave it was somthing along the lines of "I think you need to get a new one" or somthing like that. To which I replied, "No your my idol. You have done things I want to do. Write novels, short storys, screenplays, and directing." (I also want to do some graphic design but I didn't mention that).
Then he wrote in my copy of Magin Street 'to Tanner: A fellow storyteller'. Over all this is the best thing that has happened this whole summer.

Congrats! OSC is so generous with his time and sentiment. I'm sure one of these days I'll be in the same town at the same time he is signing...

Whoa, I was about three people behind you in line, Ginosion. I was the tall kid with the black shirt standing next to the shorter kid with the red shirt. Anyway, that Star Trek guy was awesome. I have to say, after seeing OSC in person, me and my friend couldn't picture him writing all these books we love. He just seemed too funny and friendly to us.

No, it was just a plain black shirt with white stripes.
