I liked it to a point. The story got my attention, but it lost my interest at the end. Too bloody, too sexy, and too pointless for me. I would not read it again, and certainly wouldn't go on reading the others.

I really liked it.. but it was not at all what I was expecting going into it. Haven't gotten around to the sequels.

Liked it, but also found some of his characters... lacking. I don't think he writes women well, except maybe for Pres. Galdstone.

Also: Disliked it when he changed the meanings and explinations of past events to fit new plot lines. Sloppy.

On the plus: Love everything and anything to do with the Ousters, the Pax (Endymion), the Templars and Force:space (or whatever you call it...)

If you didn't read Fall you missed a lot.

I liked Hyperion better the first time when it was called Canterbury Tales.

The story was fairly interesting, but the writing was so over the top that I couldn't take it seriously. I read Hyperion and most of Fall of Hyperion before it had to go back to the library. I happen to own the two Endymion books, but based on the first two I don't intend to read them.

I did like Hyperion a lot when I was thirteen, though.
