From Looney Labs, the makers of Fluxx and Chrononauts (which we were discussing earlier) . . .

Nanofictionary seems like it would be a lot of fun.

Stage 1: card game. You try to get 1 setting, 1 problem, 1 resolution, and 1 or more characters. You can play the "complication" card to add extra settings, problems, or resolutions; "plagiarism" to take someone else's; some other cool things.

Stage 2: think up the coolest story you can based on the cards.

Stage 3: tell it

Stage 4: everybody votes (and you must vote for someone that isn't you); see who wins.

Strange game, but I think it will be fun.

It is fun! But unlike Fluxx or Chrononauts, this one is really best for no more than 3-4 rounds -- mostly because the setup stage can take quite a while.

It's particularly fun to play with extra "judges" in addition to the players.
