I tend to go where I'm invited - or rather, to about a tenth of the places I'm invited. Next time I go to Israel, I intend to bring my wife and at least one of our kids (whichever one is speaking to me and/or is completely dependent on me financially at the time <grin>). Naturally, it would be convenient if it coincided with a convention so part of the costs could be written off as business expenses. But ... not this year, and not next year.

I had a wonderful time when I was there the first time.

I think he's been to Israel more recently than Florida. [Razz]

And this comes as a shock to you does it?

[Wink]

No the trick to getting OSC to come to Israel is right there in his post: he comes to about 10 percent of the places he is invited. The trick is to invite him ten times, the odds predict that he will accept at least on invitation.

That reminds me of a wonderful classic moment on the radio show loveline: The "my dad's in Israel" line. It was a girl who called up with a problem and Adam asked: "where's your dad?" She responded, "my dad's in his room."

What would haunt the show for many years was the recording of that one brief exchange: it sounded equally like "My dad's in Israel" and "My dad's in his room." A few times a year for many years Adam and Drew would be reminded of the line and they would dig out the tape and listen to it again; when you listened for "his room," it make perfect sense, and when you listened for "Israel" it was also perfectly clear. It is really one of the most genuinely funny things I have ever heard. I laugh to this day about it.

So if I invite you to WV only a few more times then we'll be at 10 and you'll have to come! Yes!

Scott, I'd like to invite you to WV. We have a lot of neat places for you to see and some interesting historical areas that could be of great inspiration for future books.

I'll even take ya to a WVU game!
