I started doing my homework and this looks like a really good sci-fi story. When I first saw the artwork of Ender's Game it made me think of Nathan Gamble. Orson Scott Card said he thinks that Gamble would make a perfect Ender Wiggin, possibly, but that he's too old. However, if there was to be a shooting script within the next year then I do believe that Gamble could/should still be a top candidate to play Ender Wiggin. The casting director has a say in that decision when they have a casting call, and if enough fans were to write to Orson Scott Card on his website message board that could help as well. There are very few child actors who have the talent to act out the type of emotional scenes that Gamble acted in with veteran actors.

Given that Orson Scott Card is involved and working on the screenplay adaptation I think its inevitable for there to be some differences in adapting the story from the page to the screen, but at least the author/creator is making those tweaks/changes that could allow Gamble to still play the part.

Gamble was in the Stephen King horror film The Mist and The Dark Knight. Gamble just turned 10 yrs old.

He's done some impressive work in some intense emotional scenes in both films and television (Without a Trace and The Ghost Whisperer).

Orson Scott Card is currently working on revisions to his latest draft of the script. So die hard fans should take note that a film adaptation would no doubt be different from the original source material, but at least the changes are being made by the creator to maintain the artistic integrity of the story. Whether or not this movie is being developed as a stand alone movie with sequel possibilities, or an automatic film series ala LOTR or Harry Potter remains to be seen.

Marvel Comics announced that there will be an Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow comic book series starting in October with Ender's Game #1. This could be a warm-up for the Ender's Game movie, since Card explains that, "I'm hoping Marvel will show [Hollywood] how it's done, because you guys know how to put the story down in a visual way so that it
comes to life."
