This question has some "Shadows in Flight" spoilers:
I just finished reading "Shadows in Flight" and the scene where Bean is dying in the Herodotus made me think of the Giant from the Fantasy Game. I wondered if they could possibly be connected? Jane did receive a aiau, however you spell it, or soul from the buggers. Could she have knowledge of the future and somehow connect Beans death with the fantasy game. Maybe a far fetched question but I wondered what other people thought. Just read this passage:
"Bean was content to lie there and listen to the sounds of life in the meadow...There were some (animals) that hopped and some that chirped and croaked, and some that landed lightly on him and crawled or wriggled to somewhere else. He was part of the life here. Soon his body would be even more deeply involved with it."
It is the same image I get of the giant from the mind game after he dies and the one the buggers recreated for Ender on Shakespeare where he finds the hive queen. Now it's probably just coincidence because I'm not sure of the relevance of the connection. Anyway, what do you guys think?

Orson might have taken some of the images from the Fantasy game and Shakespeare to use in this book. The next book will tie the Ender sub series with the Bean sub series if I can call them that. But I just had a interesting thought. Remember in shadows in flight when Carlotta thinks about how the hologram of Petra was never meant to be sent but was intercepted by the Financial program that Bean adapted from the Fantasy game and was sent. Well we all know that Jane is I guess an adaption of the Fantasy game, could this be Jane here or is this before Jane ever comes in the picture?
