So I was driving home yesterday, and I saw a turtle in the middle of the road, slowly walking toward the other side. Not wanting any harm to come the critter, I stopped my car and put him in the grass, facing in the opposite direction of the road.
Now that I think about it, I put him on the wrong side! I turned him around on the way he was coming from. I hope I didn't hinder his progress to his final destination and he made it safely.
Oh, and the answer to "why did the turtle cross the road" is "to get to the Shell station."

Hm. I don't remember reading that in any of the Interchapters. You're probably the Triumph of the Human Spirit or something.

What did you do with it, CT? Somewhere I have a picture of the chipmunk that wandered into our bunk in sleepaway camp one summer. After we took pictures, we made a trail of almonds to lure it back outside. It worked, too.
