I spent the weekend away from Hatrack. It shocked me as much as I'm sure it's shocking you. I'd be fine if there wasn't so much to get used to, even only missing about three days.. [Angst] You probably all forgot about me.

Anyway, though, I realized I had to post the important stuff that happened while we were there, especially after my friends who had only heard of Hatrack in passing were telling me to post this on Hatrack. [Cool] I have cool friends.

The place I stayed is a cabin owned by my friend's grandparents, which they named Paradise. It's an interesting little place, up by Garrison, MN, and it's built into a hill so it looks much like a hobbit-hole. They've got a lake, a golf cart, boats, a gazebo, AIR CONDITIONING (a big deal), Satellite TV, and all the other amenities... except internet, but no bother..

Basically, it's like back to nature except without all that naturey crap. [Big Grin]

I'll post a day-by-day account, as soon as I get them finished. (doesn't mind if you don't care...)

Here's a quick account of my weekend.

Day 1, Thursday- Got chased around by a creepy guy in our car, played bad-word Jr. Scrabble. Teehee.. (we're so naughty)

Day 2, Friday- We went swimming, and all the time I was watching this bank of angry looking clouds approach. The others didn't listen to me, and it started pouring rain before we could get in. And when we finally did get in, it stopped. [Grumble]

After that, though, the most amazing thing happened. Two rainbows shot through the sky, and we could see the end of them. We went to where we percieved it to be, and danced. Then another rainbow appeared. It was magical, and part of the reason I wanted to post this. Anyone else seen multiple rainbows?

As I was driving to my uncle's house today for dinner I saw the most breathtaking rainbow I have ever seen. It was a double one that you could see from end to end. The main one was so bright that it just lit up the sky as if it was on fire. Each color was so vibrant, and it stretched across the whoole horizon. It was amazing... [Smile] I love rainbows!

Hey Ryuko,

No we DID NOT forget about you. After all, you are one-fifth of the award-winning Hatrack Haiku Team.

Glad you had fun, but you did not mention what you found at the end of your rainbows... [Dont Know]

Mostly grass. Some dirt. Mosquitoes. No leprechauns, though I entertained thoughts of what to wish for if we did find one.
