She was also unbelieveably brilliant in Steven Spielberg's Taken. I love her to death and thought that if they could get other kid actors like her, Ender's Game would be no problem.
Oh, and if anyone hasn't seen Taken it will be on Sci-Fi again this fall starting in late September on Sunday nights. Tape it. She worth waiting till the end for. Absolutely fabulous.

That's where I'd seen her - I Am Sam. She's great. Pity that her parents had to be so trendy with her name, though.

I saw her in I Am Sam. She was wonderful in that.
She's a super cute little 8 or 10 year old too. And I don't mean to be critical of someone that young, but I can't really see her pulling off what I always pictured Petra to be.
I never saw her in taken, or anything else. So I may not know her "range". Maybe someone could enlighten me? Anyone else agree? She just seems too innocent almost. Too meek.

Ew. I'm sad to see that someone who's opinion I regard so highly LOVED that movie that I was so irritated with. Sigh. It happens.
As for Dakota Fanning, I adored her in I am Sam. She was absolutely wonderful and made me fall in love with her. She seems like one of those grown ups in a kids body, or maybe that's just the roles she's been given. She does them quite convincingly.

Not really. I just watched Daddy Daycare and thought the little girl looked like Dakota and wondered if they were sisters. I looked it up and saw they were and immediately thought of OSC's article where he said he'd love to get the movie done in time to have Dakota be Petra. I also knew I had posted a thread about it, so rather than creating yet another thread about the Fanning family, I thought I'd just use this one.

I didn't know she was that girl in Taken!! I'd think she could pull it off, ya know, the seriousness... Although I never saw Petra as a blonde, for some reason.
