Yeah, I told myself I'd never again make a thread titled "The... Thread." Crap.

Anyways, I stumbled upon a few pieces of freeware that I find usefull, I was wondering if anyone else had anything cool they'd hunted down...

ScummVM - A piece of software that allows me to play really old DOS Scumm-based games on multiple platforms? Whoa... hold me down! It's too good to be true! It's legal even? WOW! <hunts down copy of Maniac Mansion>

Memento - Memento is a nice, easy to use sticky note program. It uses few system resources, isn't tremendously ugly and is freeware! Yeah!

[edit to fix linkage]

Well, I had a good idea this thread would end up completely ignored. So, I thought I'd come back and post some random, unrelated stuff in here.

I just spent the entire night cleaning up the kitchen. The roommates and I had really let it go to crap, and I finally took it upon myself to get it done. It didn't help that I had a lot of dishes on the counter.

I hate doing dishes. The problem is not that I can't do them or that I don't care about my roommates too much to do them; it's the fact that I see them pile up, and, once they get to the point where I should really, really get them done, I don't. It's simply the fact that I let them get to the point where I cannot clean them without major effort. I can't even do them piece by piece- I have to do them all at once.

So, the kitchen was in shambles, and I decided it was time to do the whole thing. So, starting at about 10:30 last night, I began cleaning the dishes. I then went on to clean the cabinets, organize the tupperware, take out the trash and all of the recyclables (but not before I compacted them so that they'd be smaller,) clean the stove, scrub the countertops, clean the toaster, scrub the floor and sanitize the lot of it. The kitchen now smells like bleach, but it's so clean you could eat off of the floor.

So, I then went in and cleaned up my room and am still in that process. I'll probably get ready for church in a minute, but I am currently enjoying these wonderful mashed potatoes I whipped up. They're so freaking good. Man, I love butter [Big Grin] .

Have fun everybody.

n' stuff.
