I downloaded the beta version a month or so ago, just to see what it looked like. Very interesting. They've freed up a lot more of the screen, and finally jumped on the tabbed browsing bandwagon. It hasn't replaced Firefox for me, but at least they're trying some new things.
Any opinions on this?

It's still just a little buggy. I've personally never been a fan of tabbed browsing (I prefer using the application switch button on my MX1000). I agree with you, though. Firefox still does it better. I love pretty much everything else about the new layout, though.
A word of advice in case anyone was planning on it: don't install IE7 Beta and Windows Media Player 11 Beta at the same time. Apparently they conflict.

You guys still like Firefox better, eh? I think IE 7 is better, besides the fact that it lacks some slight bits of customization- like the search bar and rearranging where things are on the toolbars. But otherwise, much more colorful and userfriendly than Firefox.

I might try it when I'm on campus with higher-speed than I have. I have very few complaints about Firefox.

I've got it, but have not used it very often. One thing it seems to be missing is the favorites buttons that firefox has.
