Hey gang. Yep, it has been a long time since I last posted here, but this tool is just too cool not to pass along. And as I know there are a fair number of folks here who enjoy computer games I thought I would pass this along.
Xfire is a little, low CPU and memory using program that acts as an IM sort of program. Of course, the question then is "Why would I want another IM program??" In addition to allowing instant messages and telling you who is online it also tells you what game they are playing if they are currently playing a game. I have been using it for a while now and think it is great to keep in contact with your gaming friends and set up online games with them. It is pretty early in development, so there aren't too many games supported (75 currently), but they are adding them quickly (that is 12 more than when I first snagged it about 2 weeks ago).
Check it out! Free, no spyware (at least nothing that AdAware or Spybot find) and very low system usage. Great tool for gamer friends who want to be able to connect.
