PyCon is then, and its one of the few technology conferences that's actually affordable ($125 for students who register before january 22nd). While I could likely afford a hotel room, I would prefer to avoid the expense, and what better chance to meet up with area hatrackers .
Specifically, the conference is in the "Cafritz Conference Center of George Washington University", and the public transportation system should likely be adequate for showing up there.
Its not absolutely certain I'll go, I'll need to see my course syllabi (January 10th when school starts) first, but if I can, I will.

Unfortunately, I don't know that my roommates would be cool with me hosting a guy I know from an online forum, they're kind of touchy about having guys we know over to begin with. But I'd love to meet up with you at some point and I can try and help you out finding a hotel room if you end up needing one. Feel free to drop me a line -- ksh AT kasie DOT net (the email in my profile's old) and let me know!

PS -- the "Cafritz Confrence Center" is really the third floor of our student union (they steal it from us, those bas...no bad words on Hatrack)
PPS -- Public transportation is perfect, it's only three blocks away.

I'll likely find some other people going through the wiki or mailing list and room-pool. 'twould be cool to do lunch or such, though.
