Wiser heads than mine have already expressed the need for some salve for hurt feelings here, and for a calming influence.

I'm offering my services. Everyone, all together now...Just stare into the ooze. Be one with the lava. The gentle motion will show you that what is now high will soon be low; and the lows will be high.

The warmth flows through us all. It raises us up...oh so gently. Like the tide. Like a gentle breeze.

Stare into the ooze, my brothers and sisters.

Make peace with each other.

The bad is temporary.

The good will win.

Patience and love will get us through it all...

And thank you very much kacard, Kathy Kidd and OSC for the juice to run my bulb. Without that light, I would just be lava lump, not Lava Lamp!

Stare into the ooze.

You know you want to!

You know, those things get really, really hot. Which makes the addition of a candle or anything wax on top extra freak out.

Oh yeah, I'm totally calmed and soothed and whatnot, by the way. Totally.

My kids love lava lamps. We are going to buy one of you once you go on sale at Wal-Mart. Do you have those little squiggies on top, or are you just a plain lava lamp?

We should so stick an action figure in the lava lamp.

Oooh...I vote for GI Joe. It adds some tension, you know, the calmness of the lava lamp, the violent war-mongering of a soldier.

space opera

edit - Oh, and can it be musical? It could play "Can you feel the ooze tonight?"

"We should so stick an action figure in the lava lamp. "

I say we put the Moses Action Figure in there. The lava lamp is sort of a modern version of the burning bush.

http://www.mcphee.com/amusements/current/11089.html

quote:
The story of Moses has more action than a James Bond movie. Miracles, murder, plagues, escape, betrayal - his life was filled with dramatic events and exciting adventures. With our 5-1/4" tall, hard plastic Moses Action Figure you can recreate the entire epic saga in the comfort of your own home. Use the removeable shepherd's staff and stone tablets to punish your roommate with God's plagues or deliver the Ten Commandments to your little green army men. Comes with interesting Moses info on the back of his card.

Staring at the ooze, I have an odd urge to use the restroom. Excuse me.
