Farmgirl already helped me out enormously with my journalism class (I got an A [Big Grin] ), so I figured maybe Hatrack would help me out again.

This time for story ideas. I have a 1500-word feature story due Monday, April 19th. I have *no idea* what to write about. Everything I deal with in my other classes, and everything I read/write about is the stuff that shows up on CNN, and I don't have access to the sort of resources that would allow me to write an original feature on stuff like violence in Iraq.

I'm going to London this summer, so I thought about doing a story about avoiding the "Ugly American" syndrome, but the internet info I dug up was pretty sparse. If anyone knows where I could get help on that one, that would be great.

Otherwise...do any of you have any brilliant ideas?? I am at a total loss.

Thank you [Smile]

Something I find interesting is the ways in which politics in African countries effect and don't effect policies, etc. here. You could substitute any region that the American public doesn't pay much attention to for Africa; and just analyse how much we respond or don't respond to what goes on in these countries.

How about the phenomenon of people getting help on their homework in the internet, whether this helps or hurts their education. Copyright, plagiarism, and ethics issues abound. [Wink]

I'm only half kidding, maybe you'll come up with an argument that ends this prejudice.
