Ive been wanting to link a band called The Smiles and Frowns and find out what the people of Hatrack think of the music. Seeing as we are already on the subject I thought this would be the time, if nothing else check out the media section for some very entertaining shorts that they have collected from differant places.

I listened to a few songs and the ones I listened to were all same-ish, sorta Beatly--liked them better than Lady Gaga!

Sounds like most indie pop: a little like Neutral Milk Hotel/The Beatles but not quite as good. They kind of remind me of Hot Panda but they sound a bit better than them. I guess they are ok, not really my cup of tea though. When it comes to indie music I'm more into the Canadian scene (Metric, Broken Social Scene, DFA1979, Arcade Fire) and not as much the folky/pop scene. Bands like The Shins and Neutral Milk never really found their way into heavy rotation on my iPod.

I know the singer a little bit and and Im trying to help if I can, thanks for the responses. Ive only recently started listening to Tegan & Sara and Mother Mother, but yeah, some good stuff has come out of America's hat these last couple of years.
