I have to confess that the following books really made me feel tingly:
A Farewell to Arms The Jungle Book The Hunchback of Notre Dame Jane Eyre Green Mansions 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea The Lord of the Rings Trilogy The Return of the Jedi movie novelization
Of course, it might have something to do with the fact that all these books were read when I was right at the cusp of puberty...
Still. What books have given you a thrill, even though there really weren't any "naughty bits" in them?

I loved the Jungle Book as a kid. Of course, I read the Chinese translation and sometimes those translators have a tendency to embellish the story a little. I really want to read the original version, but I'm afraid it might not be as good as the translation. I know. <-- Dork.

One of my favorite books in middle school was called "The Girl Who Owned a City." It was a futuristic book thats plot was based on everyone over 12 dying of a virus, so the kids had to survive by themselves. I have to admit that I would read it even now.
