Brief preface: I never win anything worthwhile. The last item that I won was a bottle of car wax as a door prize from a car show. I've never won anything that I actually wanted.
Seriously, it's only a $150 console, but I'm stupid-happy right now. I am a huge Halo fan and the prospect of having to pay $150 for an Xbox so I can play Halo 2 was depressing. I had almost resigned myself to waiting for the 3 years delayed PC port.
If there are enough Hatrackers interested, I'll host an Xbox Halo LAN party sometime this summer.

In the "What is cool?" thread, I said my school'd won the district level of the Sears Drama Festival. Now, we won the regionals (along with three other plays) the Regionals and we're going to the provincials.

well, the ps2 is really my mother's but we just say it's mine because for some reason she says she'd be embarresed if anyone knew she owned one. We mostly use it for DDR.

Zev, I have to confess that I thoroughly gamed the sweepstakes. They were foolish enough to structure it so that you got one entry for being a MCSE, one entry for registering with them, and one entry for every 15-minute survey (of eight) you completed over the course of the five-day conference. And then they gave out three Xboxes a day, with the drawing occurring over the lunch hour.
Now, clearly, with rules like that, what you do is complete every single survey that first morning. So I did. And I won. (In fact, I was amused to learn that my name came up twice in the first drawing and had to be discarded. *grin*)
