I just reread all the good advice from you guys resulting in me getting a role in the stage play 'A man named Juda'. It was in this thread. So I guess I owe you a report of how it went.
We played the play 12 times! And the last 5 times in 8 days time. Ow, this was hard! But it was a wonderful experience. We got real good critics in the newspapers (like 'the players stole the hearts of the spectators' and 'the main characters played their role so naturally, they wiped away the line between play and reality' )
All your advice has been really important. But I think the hardest part was this: Getting and feeling the emotions of the character you play is relatively easy, but getting rid of them, cooling down, that's difficult. Especially in this week we played it five times. I don't think I ever want to play love scenes with another man than my own husband again.
But it's over now, and I am OK. Still happily married . Maybe the foundation that got this play in production will start another production next year. They are looking for other plays, based on bible stories. So I suggested Stone Tables, but it's not available yet. I hope it will be soon, I would love to do that one!

Nice to see you posting again, ginette. And wonderful to hear that you were a hit on stage. So do we get to see any pictures of the performance?

Hi ginette, good to see you again, and glad to hear your play went so well!
Foobonic is down at the moment, or at least it was last Friday--I haven't checked this morning. The main page for the site says that it's being upgraded.
In any case, Ralphie is now the person in charge of posting Hatrack pictures (despite the fact that she's mostly gone from Hatrack herself these days).
