Stupid Bomb Threat.

A smart thing to do is to call in a fake bomb threat during this administration. Now they can do whatever they want with these women.

Do tell what you think they are going to do, that any other administration would be doing? There is no excuse for calling in bomb threats. These are suppose to be adults, they should be able to understand that. Furthermore they should realize that the current climate isn't the best one to be making fake bomb threats in (assuming your theory is correct).

Or is that sarcasm? I can't tell.

Wasn't there a story last year about another fake bomb threat?

Someone called in a bomb threat because she didn't want to go somewhere with her boyfriend and was too much of a pansy to simply tell him.

...maybe that was that novel about Thor.

It was smart in the short term. They got their passports.

It was smart in the long term. Eventually enough events of this nature will convince TPTB not to be so reactionary.

It was very stupid in the medium term. They got caught.

I was eating at a Pizza Hut one time. The next table over had about a dozen people at it. They had eaten several pizzas and had ordered several pitchers of beer.

Their waitress brought them their bill and they started arguing about it.

One of them got up and went to the pay phone. Immediately after dialing his number, Pizza Hut's phone rang. About a minute after the man hung up and returned to his seat, the manager started walking to all of the tables and talking to all of the customers.

He told us that he had just received a bomb threat and that we needed to step out to the parking lot. The police showed up almost immediately and spent fifteen minutes investigating.

When they left and we were allowed to return to the restaurant, the entire group that had been at the table next to us was gone. They had all left during the bomb threat that they had most probably phoned in!

Now we all know how to get out of paying for pizza!

This is a serious crime. At minimum, they likely cost the airline thousands of dollars. They seriously delayed a lot of travellers. Even at a low hourly rate this is thousands of dollars more.

It's not a prank, nor does their punishment have anything to do with "this administration."

people need to learn that this is not a joke. When you call in a bomb threat you are saying that you planted a device that can KILL people. Murder is not something to joke about.

we used to get bomb threats all the time at the photo production factory i worked at. i'm fairly certain it was because people needed a break.

the management showed little discretion in who they hired.

speaking of, does anybody here in the medical field (or otherwise) know of hospitals regularly getting bomb threats?

my dad's hospital used to get a LOT of bomb threats. that is REALLY not cool, cause think of all those ladies in labor and people in icu, etc.
then again it was a navy hospital, wonder if that had anything to do with it.

Porc, I answered phones for a short time in a hospital and one of the ladies (who had worked there for 20 years) said they had only received one or two. However, we did have a rather long sheet on what to do in case of one - code gray and all that.

Until 1994, I ran the large megaplex theatres. I would get at least one bomb threat a week. In 90% of these, you could hear the kid's friends giggling in the background. In the other 10%, the callers were all drunk.

None of these ever scared me enough to make me call the cops or clear the building.

Today, that might be different.
