What exactly does it do when you type in just the address? (BTW, Firefox will probably fix the problem)

thanks firefox does work, ... but with explorer, if I would type in google.com the page would not load, but i found that if i type http://google.com it would load. I was wondering if there was a setting that I could change that would fix this. -dab

well, I'm old-school, so I always put the www. in front of everything [Big Grin]
But if you go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced tab
If "Always send URLs as UTF-8" is unchecked, that's probably your problem.

edit: I think. I'm not sure [Big Grin]
