If you walk down the street with a smug look on your face and speak with a general disdain for all that is American, the French wannabes in your town will find you.

I can't learn you French, but if you think you could have e-mail conversations, even basic, you could send me e-mails and improve your French. I heard it's difficult to learn as a foreign language. EDIT : Frisco

We don't pronounce it the same way. By the way, it has been created in French so technically it's more you who simplify everything

If that's what being French is all about, then America is quickly becoming the new France.

My suggestion would be to start reading books in French. While it won't help your accent, it will greatly improve your vocabulary. I don't know what level you're at right now, but you can always start with something like Asterix or Le Petit Prince. And if it's too difficult to go straight to French you could check out Le Petit Prince in English and read the two together.
As for speaking...you're just going to have to find people around you who speak it so that you can start practicing with them.
