I was just browsing the gaming trailers on Google Video, when I stumbled across this incredible trailer. Personally, I think it's one of the more innovative games I've ever heard of.

PORTAL

Unfortunately, I've read that this will be shipping with Half Life 2: Episode 2. I'd love to play Portal, but I have a taboo against M-rated games (I've never played either Halo or Diablo, if that says anything).

Is there any chance Valve Software will ship this seperately? This looks like a T-rated game, at the worst.

By the time it's released, I think the gameplay will be every bit as M-rated as Half-Life 2.

It definitely looks really cool, though.

Looks pretty non-violent. No blood, the only things being harmed look like robots, and possible no actual weapon of the player's own to use. I wonder if the portal gun is really the only weapon in the game.

Looks very different. Some developer was using his noggin on that one. Valve should sell it seperately, they have done similar bundled releases many times before and you can always buy them individually if you want. If not, just dont play HL2 -Ep 2. It would only cost about 20 bucks.

It's really heartening to see someone innovate on the standard FPS.

That actually looks very cool, almost as if its more of a puzzle game than a FPS.

Which is exactly why I want to get it.

Trapperkeeper, I just might take your advice on this one. Portal actually looks like it's worth the whole $20, and I need a new take on the FPS. Not that I play FPS that much, due to the lack of originality that generally shows up in the genre.

But this... this shows promise...
