Very sad. They always seemed like good, fun loving guys in the radio interviews I heard.
I can't even imagine the pain of seeing your brother, who you've lived and worked with for 30 odd years, killed on the stage in front of you.

Normally at work I listen to either the Top Tracks or Boneyard stations on my satellite radio. When I heard a DJ on Top Tracks mention Dimebag, I immediately flipped over to Liquid Metal and basked in the all-day tribute. So many good songs I hadn't heard in ages... and the added benefit of driving the bosses away in pain from the riffs. LOL
I'm still fairly stunned that this happened at all. At one point I was hearing rumors that both Dimebag and Vinnie were killed, later I heard that Vinnie was shot but only injured, so I don't know what the situation is there. I do know that by the time I left the office, the updated news stories listed the other three deceased by name and ages, and Vinnie wasn't one of them.
The bands' websites are absolutely crawling from overload. I couldnt even get to any kind of message board pages. Both had memorial art on the homepages.
What a crazy mixed-up world we live in.....
