First Ion Storm, and now Troika? I legally buy the copies of the games I play. I wait for the prices to drop from $50 to $30, but I still purchase them and put money into the coffers of the gaming industry. How do we keep the PC gaming companies we love from going under?
I know the talent will be rehired, but with each dispersion a little something inside of me dies.

Yeah, that really sucked. Those were good guys who had a lot of trouble landing the Big Overfunded Project that often gets up-and-coming developers their official Big Break. Here's to hoping the original troika can land something new and get it all going again.

I know it seems like Blizzard is a huge powerhouse, but they really don't make very many games. They come out with one every couple of years. I think a more realistic situation would be nobody but EA and UbiSoft (which will be a wholly owned subsidiary of EA,) and all movies, sports, and other media will have exclusive licences. Sega will come out with another Virtua Fighter game every six years, but other than that, the only sound you will ever here upon starting up a new game will be "Challenge Everything," which is ironic, considering how cliche and repetetive most of EA's titles seem to be (except Burnout 3. I love Burnout 3!)

I read THAT as "Well, Ralphie, thank you for not posting that as a dobie." and thought, It's kind of unfair to suppose that Ralphie would be the one to post it, although, yes, that makes sense.Posts: 1163 | Registered: Jan 2005
