In our ongoing quest to distance ourselves from the military, my wife and I are moving to Boise in preparation for our separation in May. I got the "approval" phone-call from the Appt. Complex just a few minutes ago and we're bound for the "City of Trees."

I thought Boise meant city-that-rolls-up-its-sidewalks-at-sundown.

Are you going to kayak the Boise River? How about rock climbing? There's a nearby canyon lined with columnar basalt that makes for excellent climbing.

Boise is in no way the city of trees [Smile] The original Fort Boise actually did have trees near it, but Boise is in the middle of high desert. It is an interesting little town, though.

Boise's got plenty of trees.

Plenty of chopped-down trees. It's a logging town(Boise-Cascade).

Yes, plenty of trees in Boise.

There's plenty of stuff going on after sundown, too. [Razz] I pour drinks until 2am...when I'm not on vacation, of course.

Right now, there are NCAA tournament games going on.
