*sigh* WenchCon, no. Bob and Dana's wedding, no. DallasCon, no. DC Con, no.

The thought of not getting to see all of you wonderful people makes me sad. With our big Disney World vacation planned and the baby on the way (which requires a new bedroom being built) there's no way I can attend anything. If there wasn't so much other stuff already planned, I'd have a mind to plan a Space Opera Con just to stop missing out. [Cry]

Hear hear Space Opera...
I'm sad that I can't make it to all the Cons either. Curse my poverty!

Although there's always Greyhound... [Angst]

When's the Disney vacation and how are you getting there?

Hee hee. Telpy, I would love for you to come to a Space Opera Con.

Trevor, Disney World is happenin' in June. We're going by car and are taking two days to get down there.

Pfft. Everyone on Hatrack should live in Indiana.

There are a lot of teenagers in Indiana. [Big Grin]

If you can spare time for lunch, there are a couple of Atlanta 'Rackers who might be free for a very small, impromptu Con. [Big Grin]

You want me to live in one of the flat states in the middle? [Eek!] [Angst] *thud* x_x

(((((Opera))))) Wish you could be there (especially at the ones I'll be at! <g>) too.

Maybe next year. And you were at KamaCon!

Um...you could have your own con...

or, the midwest clump is HUGE... and people always have extra room "somewhere..."

Plus, the Orlando area clump has enough folks interested in Disney to probably find a way to meet you and have a con there too!

You've just got to con some people into it!

I am looking forward to seeing other Hatrackers in Florida this summer.

Oh, and rivka, I live in southern Indiana, which unlike the rest of the state isn't flat. Hills and rednecks abound. [Wink]

Maybe the mid-west people should do a Con though, if only to raise my spirits. [Razz]

SO, there really are quite a number of us in southern Indiana. When AJ comes down in may, we could have a mini-con! AJcon, maybe. [Big Grin]

And there was Hatrack Unplugged last fall...

Southern indiana here too, Space Opera, there really are a bunch of us (and not just teenagers, basically between 18 and 25) in bloomington, so if you ever come up this way, let us all know.

There are two signs in that part of the state, the other one is near Fairmount, it's the only sign in that town that doesn't read "James dean was born here, so was cool"

I live in Alaska.

Even if there's a Pacific Northwest clump--I can't remember if there is--and they were having a con, I still couldn't go. I can't afford the investment in time or money to go anywhere. I can't have my own con because no one would come this far. So yeah, I'm missing all the cons too. Thanks.

I have to admit to be utterly confused at all the con's that seem to have been popping up all over the place.

I take it that this is a group that likes to get together and meet the person behind the screen name?

Yeah. We really like each other, for the most part, and a number of real world friendships and relationships have come of it. This BobnDanaCon that people are talking about is the wedding of (not surprisingly) Bob and Dana, two well loved members of the forum who got to know each other here before meeting in real life.

BookWyrm, me and Valentine014 are going to some convention in Kansas City in May, where GRRM will be the "ToastMaster". We might be able to get him to sign a book for ya if you send it. At least I hope he is signing books and stuff. It looks like he'll be there all weekend.

She wishs Raia. The only reason I am here sometimes now is cause I have internet at work. She has no such luck. I'll tell her you said so, but until we get internet at home (in 2-3 weeks I would guess), she can only check hatrack once a month or so.

What a wonderful opportunity for me to complain about never being able to check Hatrack.

At least I'll get to meet a lot of people at BobNDana's wedding...

Oh, I guess this isn't the best thread to be bragging about that, huh?

Miss you too Raia! [Wave]
