Is it serious or satirical?

EDIT: It claims to be serious. It's a bit creepy, considering these people live in the same city as me. I wonder how they started it? I hope it doesn't catch on.

In response to the FAQ "Where will my flesh go? Who eats it?"

quote:
Your flesh would go to a grocery store or fast food chain where it would be prepared in a wide variety of forms and sold to individuals who would otherwise be consuming animal flesh.

Oh yuck, yuck, yuck! As much I'm in favore to donate my organs if they can save a human life, as much I find the simple thought to be eaten after my death so so gross!

You'd think they'd take flesh donors to use for burn victims, or something. But to eat? I'm still puzzled.

Your flesh would go to a grocery store or fast food chain where it would be prepared in a wide variety of forms and sold to individuals who would otherwise be consuming animal flesh. ...the only practical control that donors would be able to exercise would be which participating restaurant, fast food chain, or grocery store would receive their flesh.

I'll have a McBob.

Supersize me!

I'm picturing a husband coming back from the grocery store:
husband: Here you go, dear. *hands her the shopping bag*
wife: Dangit! I told you BEEF! BEEF! Not human meat!

Of course, there's the problem of people trying to save money by cutting out the middle man. Literally.

"Hey honey, I ran into Joe on the way to the store. I brought him home for supper."

"Great, what should I make?"

wait for it...

Is Human Meat Okay to Eat?

As long as the donor is healthy, then yes, human meat is perfectly okay to eat. At least, it is no more unhealthy than consuming animal flesh (well known to increase the risk of heart attack, high blood pressure, prostate cancer, and a host of other health problems). There is however one important caution that must be offered here: avoid eating the brain of another human. Not that brain is a staple form of meat anyway, but this is how Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease, a disease similar to mad cow, is transmitted among humans. The disease is extremely rare and can be screened for with a brain biopsy. A thorough screening of all donated flesh will be conducted, once this program is active. In addition, to avoid risk of this disease, brain matter will not be included. This still leaves plenty of usable meat.

Are you kiddin'? We're great!

Bob's jokes are killing me. [ROFL]
