Well it's always a good way to save money... not to have cable and we think a lot of the stuff on TV is... well.... trashy. [Razz]

I haven't had a television in years. [Smile] Keep it up - you get a lot more free time.

Go kat!
If I was in Utah I probably would have cable. I actually like BYU TV.

We don't watch TV either. We just use ours for movies. It's amazing at how much free time it gives you.

I don't have a TV. I think I may have one over the summer, as my new roommates will probably bring one.

I don't have one, either. [Smile] I watch dvds on my computer sometimes.

Well, techincally, I have one, but it's in the basement, and I don't know if it works or not.

I waste all my time online instead. [Wink]

You're lucky.
I hate television.
Most of it sucks.
Yet I watch some of it anyway then complain about how bad the shows are.

I don't have one either, and am insufferably smug about it. Anybody pointing out how much time I spend in front of a computer screen will be sent to Siberia.

I watch MASH, some Stargate, some King of the Hill, and some random movies when they're on. Other than that, I don't watch much TV.

Well, you know, as I sit here typing this I am also watching an interesting documentary about James Dean on PBS. And I'm just fine with that.

I called last week to have our cable disconnected. My 11-year-old daughter will be going to summer school because she failed math. The reason she failed math is because she didn't do her assignments. I think she turned in one assignment last quarter and 2 or 3 this quarter.

So, I removed a major distraction. We won't have cable again until she passes summer school. I already hate it, but I don't want her to be held back.

I'll also be looking for a day job so I can be home evenings to make sure she works on her homework. Her dad is too busy playing spades online to do that. [Roll Eyes]

Since last January, i have stoped to watch TV. And i feel good. TV spoiled my time, my social life and my thought.

The worst about TV are the families who eat with watching it, without talk. No discussion. That's one reason what families break !

If I could get a cable package that had only espn and nothing else, I would happily cancel everything else.

The only TV I watch is sportscenter in the morning, and network maybe 2 hours a week.

Except during football season. I watch a lot of football.
