This made me laugh. Tell me if it's already been posted.

Time Travel Convention?

The word that comes to my mind is "ridiculous."

Already been posted [Smile] . Enigmatic posted it a couple of days ago.

Still amusing, though.

But clearly, it's not too late to advertise for it, right?

O_O

You know, that person may get banned if that sells, but it would so be worth it.

Well, there's a sucker born every minute, and someone might as well profit off of it. [Smile]

Should I delete this since it's already been posted?

Some friends watched Napolean Dynamite while I was there. Ugh... what a horrible movie. Why do such poorly made things do well? There wasn't anything good about it. No plot. Nothing. But for some reason people love it. Why?

I went to it. It wasn't exactly "ridiculous", but it wasn't what I had hoped for. The refreshments weren't good (it was "bring your own" and there were just too many odd things).

The really disturbing thing was that there was no one there from past 4013. The guys who were there from 4013 said that everything was fine when they left. It is hard to say what happened. Would time travel be outlawed? Did Armagedon happen?

The conference organizers didn't take into account language differences. I'll let someone else who was there explain how we dealt with that.

Don't believe me? The good news is, if your alive on May 7th you don't have to time travel to be there. Just show up, it is the others who have to travel.

Of course, I know I'm going because I met myself there. I tried to give myself a note that said what I have typed above, but I pointed out to myself that it would be old news by then, so come back on Cinco de Mayo so I could post this ahead of time. I also told myself that there were more than a few "Hatrackers" there (or "demigods" as we are referred to in the future). Who else went?

I don't know. My brother told my parents that I wanted it on DVD. I didn't want it. I hate it. He wanted it and took advantage of the oppurtunity at hand. Either way I am now in possesion of a copy of it on DVD.

Why on earth would you hate it? I can understand not liking it or being indifferent to it (although I love it), but HATING it?

As I said, though, I think it rocks.

The humour is just plain stupid. Though I can do a really good impression of Napolean. "GOSH!" [Razz] Otherwise, no. I don't like it.

I hate that I lost those minutes to such torture. I was waiting and waiting for it to be over. It was so bad. Blair Witch still holds the #1 worst movie ever spot for me, but Napolean Dynamite is a close #2.

Well, why didn't you walk out, then? [Confused]

I guess it's a certain kind of humor that some people just don't like.

I never say Blair Witch. Don't want to either. So at this point Napolean Dynamite, I'm sure I spelt Napole...whatever wrong, is the number one WORST movie of all time, or at least to me.

I wouldn't bother, but maybe you could change the topic to Napolean Dynamite and Time Travel Too? Or something clever like that.

You took my suggestion to literally. I didn't mean for you to actually put, "Or something clever like that," in the title. I meant for you to come up with a clever name if you didn't like, "Napolean Dynamite and Time Travel Too."

You see Jay's link up there about the gold machine?

The ebay site is saying somebody bought is for $600,000. There's no way that's true, is there?

It also shows only 1 bid, by the "buy it now" option. So either its the same person who put up the auction and they're just using ebay as publicity for their little fantasy, or there is one very rich idiot out there. (ok, slightly less rich now.)
