Ok, universe 6 just started today, I think, and I tink we chould more the gHatrack alliance to there. There are no established players there, so ew would have an excellent chance. . . if we move quickly.

It is a game that Jataquertos began playing together in an alliance a few days ago.
They just opened up a new universe, and since we were small fry in a big pond i uni5, this is a good change to start over with all our opponants even with us rather than far ahead.

I submitted this time around, too. How do they handle turns in this game? Do you get a certain number of actions per day, or do turns take a certain amount of time?

Hm. I probably won't be worth much to you guys, then. I'm not going to keep checking back every minute and a half. *laugh* But I'll play anyway, if you'll have me.

Of course...the good thing about this is that you still accumulate resources even when no online...
So you can just minimize the window while you do other things, and then check back once and a while to reset your construction projects. Also, there are robotic facilities that cut the time needed for each project way down, although they are overrated at least at first. Resources are the bottleneck at first, not construction times.

Is it better to build things that you don't have the energy to run at 100% (until you build more solar collectors), or better to build more solar collectors BEFORE leveling up your mines?

I try to kkep my energy production up there, but sometimes it lags. I neve construct a lot of things without the energy, but if I will only be a little short I do it and lower production a little at something I have a lot of.
For instance, if I have a lot of crystals, which I do, then I can lower that for a little while my new plnat is being upgrades, keep metal mines (which I need more, at least at the beginning of the game) at full production.
Deut is a pain, as it collects so slowly though, and uses so much power.
In Uni5 I had my plant at level 9, but the mines at level 8 for metal and level 7 for crystals, and level 5 for Deut.
Also, I did get a robotic plant, but not until I had everything higher than 4. Wasn't worth it befroe that, at least not to me.

Wow, they added a new universe much sooner than I expected. I'm got a planet in Uni 6 now and am applying for the alliance.
Tom, it often is better to build the mine first even if you have to run it at 70-90% until you can get the solar upgrade. You'll get the resources you need to upgrade the solar plant quicker that way.

I lean towards building the mines, lowering production, and then power. At least at first, as long as you neven let power fall more than a little bit behind.

So how often are your resource levels augmented? I've maxed out my metals building the first buildings. I'm usually too miserly with resources in this type of game, so this time I'm going balls-out.

Max it out for sure, you only get raided usually if you have resources left over, so using them right up is actually a defensive move!
Click on resources, and it goves you some numbers...those are PER HOUR numbers, and they seem to be refreshed every 5 min or so. I woke up today and had a ton of things to do, because they build up nice while I was sleeping.

I seem to be running at negative energy levels. I've tried diminishing percentages for my metal and deuterium plants, and I've set my crystal at 0% for the time being, but my energy is still at -1. I have a level 1 solar power plant. Is this OK, or should I make other changes?

Advice for advice for robots: Turn the deuterium synth down as far as you need to for the metal and crystal to run at 100%. Deut takes a lot of energy and really isn't that important for building the basic infrastructure (mines and solar plant) that you need to focus on first.
Dkw: So Easter Bonnet is the GOOD hat to be? This is revenge for all those times I got you comic books for christmas, isn't it? *pthhbbt!*

There is a better choice than all of that....hit calculate under the resources page. It doesn;t recalulate automatically, you have to hit "calculate" each time, and it will give you teh updated numbers. Also, look at the energy at teh top of all your pages, nit ust the chart. The chart soetimes is oof, go by the top of the page, it is more accurate.
None of that will help if you really ARE short on energy, though.

Well, should I strive for my energy level to merely be positive, or do I need it to be 100% of possible capacity all the time?

OK, I've got crystal and deuterium both turned to 0, and metal at 100%. That makes my energy 0. First thing I'm going to do when I get enough metal is upgrade my power plant, and then I'll go from there.

Kwea: that's basically what I was saying. If you're short on energy, you lower the percentage on something (I recomend deut at this stage) and hit calculate. Also, my energy #s seem to be more accurately added up in Uni 6 than in 5. Anyone else?

I've applied to the alliance in Uni6. Are we going to continue to play in Uni5 or abandon our planets?

See now, I don't know that I really have time to play on two universes at once. Should I just dedicate myself to universe six since it's the new kid on the block?

It makes sense to have Universe6 be our focus, I suppose. Switching may make make me less interested, so if I drift away that'll be why. If I *do* drift away, though, I'll set my planet up for plundering before I go (maybe by working to make it a huge deuterium factory before going or something).

Virtual cookies for all those who continue to play!
EDIT: BtL, and others confused by the addition of another universe, we seem to be focusing on the new Universe, becasue it's shiny, and unfettered by people in power. The Universe Five Alliance will exist as long as there are people to exist within it, but it will not be the focus of the Alliance's attention.

I'm in. I'll continue to use Universe 5 to experiment with building everything up. I applied for the alliance as well.

Ok, Bubblor has opened business in universe 6 on the planet Froth. I'll probably abandon my universe 5 planet. I was only a few days into it anyway.

I am on universe 6 as Xavier, from the planet Xavoria.
I did an alliance search for "hatrack", what's the deal?
Oh and your planet looks cool Brain! Mine on universe 5 was an ice planet, but this one is almost like earth (with small temp differences).

OK, just starting out, and I don't have enough metal to upgrade my MetalMine or my Solar Plant. Does metal show up automatically because of my mine or do I have to do something to make sure I get it?
