I'm trying to find the name of (I think) an American military tune; again, I have no idea where it originates, but I heard it countless times, so the 'Rack's the best place to inquire, since there's no Googlable resolution.
The film Die Hard With A Vengeance (№ 3) has that tune in the soundtrack both when Fort Knox's vaults are being emptied, and at the closing credits.
What's the tune there from?

Yeah, Enigmatic has it right. It's not on the soundtrack album, though. I just checked on Amazon.

You are thinking of Die Hard 3, but they were in New York, and they stole the gold from a bank vault in New York. As I recall, the bad guy says the phrase, "Not for all the gold in your Fort Knox," and that is what triggers Bruce Willis to make the gold connection. Fort Knox is mentioned, but it is not what is robbed.

For clarification, in case you did not know this halo, Fort Knox is in Kentucky. The movie takes place in New York.

I've got a song that I can't manage to Google either, and the quality isn't the best. Dad put it on an old reel-to-reel tape back before I was born. He recently got someone to copy the entire reel to a CD so he could recreate "Supertape". And this is the only track we can't figure out.
We call it Rock and Roll Lament for lack of anything better, but that's definitely not the real name. It's a slow bluesy piano piece with a male singer (who by some people has been tentatively identified as Ray Charles, but we can't find a hit searching his songlist either)
The first verse of the song (best as I can get out of this really badly muffled MP3) I have given up the (airway?) I am tired of the sea (scene?) And the things I used to love Dont mean a thing to me
I could keep going but for the sake of copyright issues won't. I will happily email the MP3 to anyone who thinks they can possibly help me out, though, or upload it to my website if someone can tell me how to make it playable directly fron the site.
