Despite being directed by Michael Bay, the clips listed HERE seem to be really cool.

Besides, we already know Ewan McGregor can deliver even without any particular motivation from a director. Sean Bean, Steve Buscemi, and Djimon Hounsou are all really good at what they do.

I think it looks like fun, anyway. Rotten Tomatoes seems to like it, which surprised me.

IGN liked it too.

Even though it's a Bay film, I'm kinda excited to see it. I think we may need to keep Bruckheimer and Bay away from each other if this film turns out to be worth our time. [Smile]

I don't know if I'd call the concept "100% fresh" though. That theme has been explored in sci-fi before; even though this might be the first movie on it.

After a summer of sad and gloomy movies (Batman, War of the Worlds) I'm looking foward to a staight action movie. I'm looking foward to the giant car chase scene that's a staple of Michael Bay movies...

But it was gloomy...I didn't say it wasn't good...it was great. But with Revenge of the Sith, Batman and War of the Worlds it has been a dark and gloomy summer movie season...

The 100% fresh is a Rotten Tomatoes thing. "Fresh" as opposed to "Rotten."

There's a clip on the page I linked to that shows some of a big car chase that involves a bunch of train wheels falling off a truck on the interstate. Car-crunchingly intense.

But My favorite clip is the one with Lincoln Echo Six and the Sean Bean character.

Oh, okay. I understand yah both now. [Big Grin]

I like the clip of the little robots on McGregor's terrified eye. Reminds me of A Clockwork Orange.

It's nice to see both the former Jedi getting some roles that have some real weight. I loved Neeson in Batman.

100% Fresh with only 5 reviews is hardly a good sampling- especially since none of those people have an opinion I care about.

You're just looking for reasons to love a possibly sucky Ewan McGregor vehicle, Olivetta. [Razz]

Yeah, 5/5 reviews are good make it a 100%. All that means is that chances are, it doesn't suck too bad.

Most movies have better rotten tomato scores at first, and then gradually decline. Especially with this type of movie.

I suspect that its because the only ones who have sceen the movie saw it at a special critic / premiere showing, where the movie experience is way better than at a local cinema. Plus they reviewer is happy that he got to see it before anyone else...

No, I'm going to see it because I like Ewan. Crap, I've seen most of his crappy crap.

What surprises me is tha this actually looks good. [Big Grin] And people who've seen it like it, too.

I predict Stay will be a stinker. A ripe stinker with an extra side of stink. It's been in the can for over a year and is only supposed to see the light of day late this year.

Studios don't usually sit on movies they think are really good. So, I'm not just hoping for sStay to be good because he's in it.

I'm surprised that The Island seems remotely good at this point, is all.

Not that there was any question tha I would want to see it, anyway. I mean DUH.
