1. Richard Nixon: even tough he is dead he transformed politics forever, in a very negative way.
2. George Bush: a thousand reasons, many involving Iraq, and the various aspects of the "War on terror" that restrict civil liberties.
3. Religious fanatics: Christian and Muslim, rather they bomb people or just found far-right wing politiceans, they are screwing us up.
4. John Ashcroft: he is Big Brother.
5. Neo-Cons in general: Imperialism is passé
6. Gonzalez: Torture is not okay, read the document which you are supposed to enforce, hint: it is called the Bill of Rights.
7. Democrats: Get a back-bone.
8. Voters: let me get this straight, George W. was unpopular before the election, and now 6/10 people think he was wrong about Iraq? Then why was he elected?
9. Condalezza Rice: I agree with what she says about Democracy in the Middle East, but the woman helped put the U.S. into a war, a diplomat is suposed to make peace, not war.
10. The "Education" system: a Democracy needs an educated group of voters, i.e. those who know something about politics, philosophy etc. we don't have such a group.
11. The "Justice" system: Capital punishment is cruel and unusual. No other industrialized western Democracy practices it. We do, becouse we know better than those sissy Europeans and Canadians
12. The "Healthcare" system: healthcare for those who can afford it, is not acceptable. At least were not alone, South Africa also lacks a public healthcare system, other than that, see "Justice."

Even as a liberal democrat, this list seems too biased for me...

Of course its biased, have you read the other one, its much worse. I include people from both sides of the spectrum, the other one is so conservetive that it makes me laugh. My intention was not to be unbiased, it was to provide the international moderate perspective in the format used in the by Bernard Goldberg in his list.

As I understand it, the other list was taken from Amazon and wansn't being taken seriously. Although I must admit that I stopped reading it somewhere around the fifth post...

edit: Corrected my grammar. It sounded as if the list was taken from an Amazon, which sounds better, but is entirely incorrect...

I find it funny that he used the word passe'. Don't know why. I've always thought of that as just one of those snooty words...
