Better known as:

"007 - Obscure and Confusing"

Games companies sure know how to mess up a franchise don't they?

Has anyone else played this? Anyone else dealt with its bizarre and unwieldy control system or obscure instructions... [Wall Bash]

Oh for Goldeneye.......

I didn't buy Everything or Nothing because it looked like it was trying to cram too many completely different mechanics into a single package. Try to do too many things, and it's very difficult to do ANY of them well.

Normally I'd agree with you Geoff, but I guess I expected a little more from not only the series, but from EA (don't ask me why) and also that they used a variety of off-the-shelf engines, all of which are pretty good.

But it's not the game engine itself causing problems it's just the bizarre controls, I've never come across a more complicated set of button-presses to be able to just shoot someone.

Also, you have no idea what you're doing on any given level...

That said, it's fun that they had such a full-on voice-cast and that the game feels like a movie - they have the obligatory short-story before running a typical bond opening credits/song etc... it's pretty cool in that regard. Pity they didn't back it up with good gameplay.

Another game that absolutely gave me the irits was the new Conker. I just didn't get it. At all. Thankfully I got it as a review copy.

I agree with your opinion of Everything or Nothing. I played it with a friend; we gave up a couple missions in and went back to Halo-ing. It was just unplayable.

Conker is a lot of fun with a couple of people in the room: some of the stuff you have to do needs a few of brains to reason out. Also, pizza helps.

Did you test out the Conker multiplayer? Once you learn what you're doing it's great, just watch out for Demolishers which are insanely unbalanced.
