This really isn't a landmark. Nothing much has changed since I posted my 1000 landmark about a year ago. For those who are new, or who missed it the first time around, here it is: A Sandy Path -- Landmark 1000. All I have to add to that is that college has been going well (my junior year begins on Monday), I have found a social group where I fit in and made some close friends, and my name is on a scientific paper published earlier this year.
I find it amusing that it took me over two years to reach 1000 posts, and less than a year to go from 1000 to 2000. At this rate of acceleration, I can expect to reach 3000 next February, 9,000 sometime in August, and 10,000 a day and a half later. If the acceleration is increasing, then the universe will fly apart, or Hatrack will crash, whichever comes first.

I know the feeling. Not that much has changed for me since I had my 1000th post, what, last month?
(Edit: I just checked. It was July 27th. My rate is increasing, too. It took me a month and a half to reach my first 1000, and about 3 weeks to reach my second 1000. Assuming that I hit 2000 by the end of the week. I'd take book that I will.)

Thanks, ElJay, Jonathan, quidscribis, and Tante Shvester! I'm glad to be here. I'm addicted to Hatrack, but I believe the benefits of the addiction outweight the problems.
Tante, your posting rate is truly insane. I haven't seen anything like it since, oh, since Dagonee. Crazy people!

I don't even remember what my 2000th post was about... I also didn't feel the need to write a landmark around that time, not because I wouldn't have things to share, but because it just wasn't the good moment. So, err, yeah, all I was going to say is: "there are others like you!"

Thanks for the good wishes, Corwin. And for letting me know that I'm not alone in not having fodder for a landmark!

Hi Shigosei! Good to see you around and I'm glad to hear you've found more friends. "The Boy" starts kindergarten next week, can you believe it? Also, he did start playing with toys and watching videos more, not computer games all the time. It goes in cycles. My older girl is still obsessed with tarantulas. And I finally weaned the toddler last April. I don't know if you follow the threads where I might be likely to mention such a thing.

Living life on a smooth, fairly even course, minimal on the drama, is a very very good thing. Thumbs up to you.

Mothertree, good to hear about your adorable kids. Good luck to your kindergartener--I remember that as a pretty important experience in my early childhood. I think it's cool that your daughter likes tarantulas Thanks for letting me know how your family is doing.
CT, thanks I'm pretty happy with my life the way it is (there is occasional drama, but it's fairly minor for a college student).
Tammy: Thank you. Actually, I'm sure I'll go through plenty of upheaval in two years when I graduate from college. That will probably be a huge change for me. Maybe as big as going off to college.

I just wanted to say that I'm glad life is good and smooth for you right now. You work hard, you play nice and you're kind to strangers and animals. You deserve the best and I hope you get it, even when the upheaval begins. (By the way, that paper looks impressive! National Library of Medicine indeed!)
