I was already happy with their seats, the individual screens, their helpful flight attendants, and the fact that they fly in/out of Burbank.
But they know how to make me really happy: free wireless and electrical outlets right near their gates in JFK.

They were the cheapest I found to NYC (although it helped that I was somewhat flexible on the precise times of day I wanted to fly). And Travelocity and Expedia do NOT have them as options, so you have to go directly to their website.
But they were $30 cheaper than anyone else (and the others were via LAX, and charge extra for Burbank and Long Beach, which are the two airports in the L.A. area that JetBlue flies out of).
I will definitely fly with them again.

The one thing I do hate about Dallas is the stranglehold Southwest and American Airlines have on it.

Has anyone tried SONG yet? I loved it, they have interactive games with all the guests on the flight. Also, they have good food, which in all my years of traveling I have had a hard time finding!!
Pricing is very reasonable too!!

When I flew with them out of Syracuse, NY (stupid Omaha airport not having a Jetblue hub) the prices were consistantly 30-50 percent cheaper than the nearest other carrier.
They have nice seats, and lots of room.
They have televisions in the back of each individual seat, with about 30 direct TV channels. My favorite was the channel which showed a map of your course (switching between different scales) and your current altitude and flight speed.
They have no first class, so you don't have to watch the flight attendants ask the first class passengers if they need anything four times before someone gets you a drink . They treat all passengers the same, and are usually pretty attentive.
Every single one of their planes was brand new when they started. Not sure if thats still true. They also had secure doors to the cabin in every plane, which only opens from the pilot side BEFORE September 11th ever happened.
They cut costs by not serving in flight meals, but encourage you to bring your own food. Because they don't need to load up the food carts after any flights, they can be back in the air in something like a half hour after touchdown. That's how they save money in order to offer you such lower prices than everyone else.
They are one of my favorite companies . I wish I had enough money to buy stock in them when I first flew them. I could tell back then that they were headed for good things.

By the time you buy tickets from two separate airlines, it's not cheaper. Sadly.
I love traveling, and I have thought many dark thoughts about Amendment 11, the law that disallowed cheap airlines from DFW and restricted the places Southwest can fly.

I've heard other people sing their praises before, but never found it convenient to fly them. Also, I usually use Travelocity to check prices . . . but from now on, I will check their site as well.

I Flew Song from Orlando International in Fl to LGA in NY. You just have to buy the tickets at the right time and place.
Nowadays no one pays the same price for a plane ticket. In the hospitality industry an empty seat (hotel room, restaurant seat) is lost forever, there is no inventory. That is the reason some people find great rates. It also depends on the season...I found the $130 round trip ticket for late may. I bet if you wanted to go around christmas time or any other peak season there wouldnt be a ticket around for 130.
Anyone who is interested in great vacation prices should check out...

Not if that's the cheapest way to go anyway, and Jet Blue is $30 cheaper than the other one you were going to do... We almost never fly non-stop into or out of Dallas, because it's way more expensive than splitting up the trip. *grumble*

I've never had the opportunity to fly JetBlue, I'm afraid; it's not local to anywhere real (i.e. the Midwest).
That said, www.skyauction.com is a great site and used to save us a lot of cash in the old days (before they started tacking on "fees" that often exceeded the cost of the ticket.)

I was gonna say, SWA doesn't so much have a stranglehold on Dallas as the Wright Amendment has a stanglehold on SWA. They are a very reasonably priced airline with excellent service, ontime, and safety records. Multihops into Love Field included, I would fly them home everytime if they served anywhere within 120 miles of here.

The Wright Amendment is decades old. I can't help but think that if SWA wanted to fight it, they could win. They have accepted the status quo, and therefore must bear a portion of my wrath.
