Where can I find a free pattern for a kids' Hogwarts sweater that's NOT a knitting one?

Thanks!

I don't have the slightest clue, but I'll look, and I might even call my aunt tonight, she teaches crochet at her church.

Kewl, thanks breyer.

The available stuff is certainly stacked toward knitters. When I google 'crochet patterns", I get knitting ones.

I couple few years ago, I wanted to get my kid a Gryffindor scarf, like in the first movie. But the only ones I could find were on ebay and awfully expensive or awfully schlocky looking. So I asked my mother-in-law to teach me how to knit and I made him a huge and wonderful crimson and gold striped scarf. It was my one and only knitting project.

I learned how to crochet this year, and I like it better. It seems less irritating to the carpal tunnel. And it goes faster. I've made an awesome and enormous afghan, and taught my own mother how to crochet and make one of her own.

Crochet rocks!

What makes a sweater pattern a Hogwarts sweater pattern? Can you find a crochet sweater pattern of similar design and just do it in the appropriate colors?

Ok, I;m only a bit confused, what do you want the sweater to look like, maybe if you find a basic sweater you can alter it.

Also there is a book coming out in January, Happy Hookers, the stitch and bitch crochet book, which probably will have some useful patterns (I need to buy a few copies, of course the title isn't for the prudish)

He's a Ravenclaw, so blue and bronze. I guess I could just use any striped pattern and R colours. Then buy an R patch and sew it on the breast.

Need to go to library today- I'll look for sweater books.

That book really looks amazing, I can't wait to get it, though I don't crochet, I knit, and am good at that, but it still will be useful.
