Today I get to dress in a ridiculous outfit, walk across a stage, and get a pretty rolled up piece of paper. Winter Commencement Ceremonies begin at 10 a.m and if you have absolutely nothing else to do at that time, you can watch online using Quicktime. It's the usual pomp and circumstance, but at least we have an official University Bagpipe and drum corps to lead the processional.

Yeah, one of the coolest things about RU is our Highlanders nickname. Here's a picture of the University's official Pipe and Drum corps leading the processional at graduation. I'm also one of the few people who can truthfully answer that my school colors are "plaid."

That's awesome. We had bagpipes play at my highschool graduation, and that was so much fun. Where is your school, by the way? I don't recognize it.

WOW! I love it!

I can't find any pictures of my high school Pipe and Drum Corps. [Frown] Maybe I can find a picture of our tartan. Our outfits were very similar though, after someone donated jackets! Before that, we wore ties and men's dress shirts.

My high school's website is here. Note the "Family" video with the children and faculty of various ethnicities, screaming, "Look! We're diverse!"
