What do you all think? I've only heard a couple of his songs. And some people say the man was a genius. Some say he was a monstrosity. I've liked a number of his songs. "Dragula," especially caught my...ear.
What does everyone else think of Rob Zombie?

I remember seeing one of his videos on MTV and that pretty much turned me off right there. I think his face was supposed to be covered in blood.

Yea I'm not into his videos so much. But every now and then I'll get a craving for crazy hard rock.

For the cover songs, "I'm your Boogieman" was quite good. If you like the catchy sort of songs like Dragula, I particularly recommend "Living Dead Girl" off the same album. Musically though, I liked a lot of the stuff when he was with White Zombie better than his more recent "solo" act.

Wow. I just really wanted this to be about zombie preparedness. I mean, really, what are we going to do if we are attacked by zombies?

My housemates and I once ran mock drills to see how we'd get out alive if one or the others of us randomly became zombies. Only the slow Resident Evil kind of zombie though, not the scary 28 Days Later variety.

I've seen Rob Zombie live twice, and they were both awesome shows. He has a very well done stage routine. Very entertaining.
I actually have a scar over my left eye from a moshing injury during "Dragula".
I like a lot of his music. Its not very deep or musically impressive, but sometimes thats not what you are looking for.

The most important thing to work on for zombie preparedness is your zombie-identification skills. The first wave of people to go is always the ones who can't recognize (or refuse to accept) that the person staggering towards them is, in fact, a zombie.
