Raise your hand if you want the semester to be over!!!
I've got three papers and a final left to go. Two of the papers are due by Wednesday and I haven't started one yet. And instead of working on them, I'm starting threads on Hatrack. Yay procrastination!

I don't have that much left, but I burned out a long time ago.
What I have
Paper due tomorrow (or Thursday, but I'd like to get it over with) Group paper due Monday. Finals every day Monday-Thursday of next week Online review thing that I was supposed to do today, but the file is of a type that apparently doesn't exist, so I can't.
So, not too bad, if I could only make myself care.

Tomorrow: 15 minute philosophy thesis presentation, followed by questions from prof. + classmates Wednesday: 15+ page Econometrics project due... it's only 40% of our grade for the semester, and I'm still fiddling with data! Thursday: Philosophy thesis due Friday: Econometrics project presentation for 15 minutes Next week: Probabilty & Stats (400-level class) final, Philosophy Senior Seminar Final, 10+ page Advanced Logic Paper due, 4 grad school applications.
Then I get 6 weeks off. And next semester will be much easier - independent study of Philosophy of Econ (400 level), independent study for Economics Senior Honors Thesis, independent study of Advanced Micro (grad text), Decartes to Kant (history of philosophy 200-level), and Probability & Stats II (400-level).
It sounds hard. It will be hard. But it'll be a cakewalk compared to this semester. Oh, and today I need to write up the syllabis for my philosophy of econ independent study for next semester.

Four finals next week, a 10 page research paper in English (I am about halfway done at this point) and a 10 page conversation analysis due in linguistics. On the analysis I have the transcript typed and part of my analysis done, but need to do some research for it before I can finish.
Busy, busy busy.
Let's not even get into my personal obligations right now - well, let's do it briefly. Three drama performances in the next three weeks at church, my kids choir that I teach is performing one more time this season. A banquet tonight that I was responsible for decorating a table for and one of the dramas is also tonight and I'm not only in the thing, but responsible for making all the costumes. Also this week are 1)and end of the year banquet for my daughter's scholar's bowl team 2) my middle daughter's performance in a play at school and 3)my middle daughter's gymnastics team's Christmas party. All of which I must attend and bring food to.
I've got to learn to say no around the holidays.

Baby becomes full term at the same time the semester ends, which is really making me anxious to have semester over. Of course, my husband has about a million chores for when his finals are over (retile the bathroom, baby proof the house, a whole bunch of yard work, etc).

Oy. Are you taking geometry or trig? I can help you with geometry and some of trig over email, if that's feasable.

I know a lot of students feel towards the end of the semester, but I always feel more of . Everyone is working so hard, and the groups usually mesh together real well, so as much as I am looking forward to the end of the semeseter, I'm sad that the brains I have been working with and the material I've been working on will all be in the past.
Does anyone else feel like this?

I've got a test to grade, two projects to grade, a final to write and grade and then final grades to make out. Trust me the end of the semester isn't any better from the professor end of things.

1 program to write 2 physics problem assignments, overdue (but won't be docked -- I hope) 1 physics problem assignment yet to be assigned 1 algorithms problem assignment 5 physics lab write ups (she said we could turn em in whenever pretty much, so of course they got left to the last minute) 2 finals -- both are gonna be extraordinarily painful, one's gonna be take home I think, when it comes to math/comp sci and take home is exam is not a good thing. 1 38 page paper on Dark Matter to read and present 1 2 - 4 page paper to write and present -- this'll be the easiest of all my work.
And this is with only two real classes. One Computer Science and one Physics.

I know what you mean. I've had semesters like that. This just isn't one of them.
My brain's so full of book learnin' that it refuses to absorb any more. And exams are NEXT week. (incoherant grumblings)

Sort of, I'm really sad my group in my poli sci class is going to be broken up. We get along well and talk and joke around and everything. I think that's just because I'm going through a really lonely phase and am searching desperately for anything resembling friendship.
The semester, though. I want that to be over right away, so I can go home and get the real thing.

I have had the semester from HELL. I'm a voice major, and I haven't been able to sing for a good half of the semester. And this week IS going to kill me. I promise.

I am so happy that this semester is almost over. I'm also quite pleased that for the most part I haven't seriouly procrastinated any of my work so I only have one paper left to finish. Of course, it's a 20 page lit review that I haven't started writing and it's due tomorrow, but at least I'm not trying to do it along with five other projects : )
I'm trying to avoid stressing about school by rewatching Buffy.

Well, the presentation last night kind of sucked, but I think I get extra points for my ULTRA DRAMATIC opening. It was on an alternative energy company, and we had to go last, and everybody else had gone on about how much electricity we were using.
So I turned out all the lights and started talking.
The group turned them back on for the stupid slides. I wanted to turn them back off again at the end, but my group did not fully appreciate my flair for theatrics.
Today, I put together a new product development presentation...and hopefully spend five hours researching for my marketing plan, since I'm getting paid to do it.

Oh yeah. Forgot about the 60 quizzes and papers I have to grade by Monday. Silly me.

I took my only exam. I think I got a high B on it, or a low A. It depends on how well I guessed at the ones I was having trouble at. Even a low B would be acceptable. I got a 97 and a 100 on the other two exams, so it's not as if a low B will even matter.
I'm finishing up one of my papers to be turned in this afternoon.
Tonight and tomorrow I'll be writing a 12-page paper. I've done the research for it, but I haven't written ONE single, solitary word. Thankfully, it's a research paper, so does not require original thought. *phew* It was originally due today, so I'm very thankful for the extension to Thursday at noon. I needed the time for my OTHER paper.
But Thursday at noon will be my breathe-easy day... I can't wait.

I just wrote my first final and I have two more to write this week, along with a few papers to do this week, as well. Although I may be able to get an extension to Monday for the one paper, which will take off a LOT of the pressure. Then it'll just be one last final in a week or so and plenty of time to study for it.

I don't like this statement, one bit. I've worked in the "real" world, right smack in the corporate rat race, and I'm a full time mother of four kids - a REAL job that never ends - and yet I think that college exam weeks are among the most stressful of times possible.
It's a tad belittling to call us "kids" and talk as if we don't know what real stress is, because we don't work in the "big bad wide world" yet. There is a particular level of stress that comes with finals that isn't comparable to anything I've ever experienced in the real world and I'm certainly old enough and experienced enough to be able to say that fairly confidently.

What's it on?
I kind of put together my presentation for tomorrow night...it's for one of those professors who gives you no guidelines at all just to see what you come up with when you panic and realize that you don't quite know what he expects, like it's an academic Rorschach test. Fortunately, I've had him for something like four of my undergrad classes, so I have a vague idea. But I still don't know what he really wants on a presentation; I've only given one of those for him before, and it was two and a half years ago, and he gave ma a B or B+.

I have to write about a statement Tocqueville made regarding religion and the US ("enthusiastic, almost fierce spirituality such as cannot be found in Europe") using the readings we had as examples. We also have to talk about whether or not the "religious madness" has been the dangerous, irrational phenomenon that Tocqueville feared.

Just got my grade back for the first of my finals. She graded on a range and is going to decide which end to take after assessing all of our stuff together. I got a high B/low A. I'm not too worried, since I have As on everything else in the class, and have been participating both in and out of class.
For my paper, I have 649 of the 1000-1300 words needed. However, all of them are topic sentences. I swear I'm never outlining again.
After that it's just a ton of reading and the tests themselves. I can't wait for it to actually be finals week.
