[Party]

I love snow days. I always wake up normal time for school, but then get to laugh at my alarm becasue I don't have to listen to it anymore. It also gives me a chance to catch up on some reading. I have a book I've been trying to finish for a while. It's one of the books form the Godfather series by Mario Puzo. I've been reading the series on and off for about 2 years. As soon as I get into it, something else that I've been waiting for comes along and I just get sidetracked.

Don't forget the mug of hot chocolate while you read. Enjoy!

Argh! Of course this afternoon's classes are canceled on a day that I don't have class - again. Even worse, I have to stay on campus regardless for a meeting.

Oh well. By midwest standards, this snow isn't bad at all. [Smile]

We had an ice storm last night that left a good half inch of ice on EVERYTHING this morning. Cleaning off my car was a pain in the butt. Still, it's getting warmer.

It's 50° outside right now. I miss the cold though.

I'm in the NY/NJ area. We only got about 3 inches of snow. I'm surprised they cancelled, because at the time school was closed, there was only about half an inch. I guess they just wanted a day off over at the district.

Reminds me of around here when they have foggy day schedules but the sun's shining outside. It makes a strange kind of sense, because with the tule fog we get around here it can be clear and sunny one place and zero visibility a block away. But still, it seems weird.

What's a snow day?

(There's only ever been one in the history of the school districts around here. Ever. Jan 14., 1948.)
