Wow. I'm curious to see how this thing handles heavier snow, steeper inclines, and shifting surfaces, but this is pretty exciting. Definitely watch the video.

From another thread.

Ought we to be worried?

It's all well and good until your M.U.L.E. goes crazy and wrecks the place. (now I have that music running through my head, darn you)

Or until mischevious glak elves steal your M.U.L.E.'s bolts. I hate it when that happens.

Juxtapose, I found it just slightly creepy at the beginning of the video too, simply because it looked so organic in its movements. I adjusted after a few seconds though.

But will it land on its feet if dropped from a high place? [Wink]

I didn't find it to be creepy (except for the lack of a head structure, maybe) but the whining noise it made caused me to want to hurt something.

When I first saw it, I thought it was 2 guys with skinny legs in something like a horse costume.

I wish they'd remake M.U.L.E. I loved that game.

Cool video. I really was impressed with its ability to go over loose rocks, through mud, and snow. I saw a reference to going over curbs in the article, but the video didn't show that. Too bad. I'd be interested to see what it does with a low obstacle in front of it.

Turning in a circle was pretty cool too. It almost looked proud of itself at that point. [Big Grin]

Dag, the original M.U.L.E. is perfect, a modern remaking would probably suck. What a fun game...wish I had played it more multiplayer.

Pretty sweet, though they'll definitely have to do something about its engine noise. That thing is about as sneaky as a ninja with a chainsaw.
