Any Hatrackers around? I'm here for the week (till Thursday). Yeah, I come from sunny Florida to snowy Utah for my Spring Break.
I don't have a bunch of money so at least a couple days I'm not gonna be forkin out the dough for a lift ticket, so if there do happen to be any Hatrackers in the area, I certainly would love to become 'real'. [Big Grin]

Yup. Quite a few. We are actually trying to have a gathering for one of our group who is moving away to the East Coast. Maybe we can schedule our get-together to accommodate you? We could have a Strangelove-con!

I for one would *love* to meet you. [Smile]

That would be awesome! I should note that I don't have access to a vehicle. But yeah, Strangelove-con has a nice ring to it. hehe. Should I rename the thread?

Hmmm, no vehicle, eh? That might make things a bit more difficult. It narrows our choices to someone coming to pick you up, or all of us meeting in Park City.

Who are you here with?

I live near the junction of 215 and I-80. Perhaps if folks wanted to go from Provo, pick up Strangelove in PC, and come down to Millcreek we could meet at my house Wednesday after a certain time. The movers are supposedly off at 5 (and as it is their first day of 3 I'm sure they will be.) That just leaves parent teacher conferences to be readjusted, which I was going to have to do anyway. We could set up Firefly videos in my solarium and run them while I set tile.

So I'm pushing for wednesday. Do I take it that if you are leaving by Thursday, you don't want to actually do it thursday night? What's your schedule because the 7th and 8th are equally crazy for me. The 6th is out of the question, 5th is taken and I already stood up everyone for the 4th.
P.S. pooka and mothertree, we are the same.

I leave Thursday evening. As far as I know, my schedule is wide open. I suppose that could change, but I've made no plans at all. Wednesday sounds promising.

There has been some discussion on Galactic Cactus (a forum where a lot of us hang out) and we are trying to figure out how to make it work. Park City is just out of the way enough to be problematic. If you want to join in the discussion, we are here.

The problem for us is that Brinestone gets home a little late, so we probably wouldn't be able to make it up there.

Idea: why doesn't Dr just hop on a bus and come down the canyon? Depending where you're meeting, someone could meet him at the stop (more convenient than driving up and down the canyon) or he could walk (if it's not far) to the house or meeting place.

*Wishing I still lived in SLC so I could be real.*

I thought about that, but I'm not familiar at all with the bus system. Would that work?

and if it doesn't, its not a big deal. I'll become real some other time, at some other Strangelove-con. Gee I just love the sound of that. Strangelove-con. [Razz]

I'd check it out Dr. We always got our bus schedules at school...wait, here

http://www.rideuta.com/schedulesAndMaps/tripPlanner/

(I don't get the tiny URL bit...) but this website should help you figure it out. Good luck, hopefully the bus will help.

You probably need to get an address from pooka or mothertree. 215 and I-80 intersection is not too far for you to ride the bus, so it shouldn't be too bad once you get an address.

I hope it works out.

Jon and Ruth, would that work out for you if Dr. Strangelove hoped a bus to SLC?

Yes. But if it could save Dr. Strangelove some money and hassle, I could just arrange to come home earlier that day. It's not like my schedule is set in stone; I just like to work from 9 to 5:30 (and get home at 6) instead of 8 to 4:30 (and get home at 5).
