Cuz if you did, that's probably why the time on these boards is all wonky now.

In my profile, it shows the 11 hour adjustment to give me 7:46 am. But when I see the posts, it's an hour later than that.

Ugh!

Thanks.

And the time is... Still at 8:45 am. And has been for the last hour.

Talk about wonky. [Razz]

I forgot: 6:10 a.m. Ok, now it's 7:37 a.m.(Strange enough that I'm hanging around at Hatrack at this time, but I didn't sleep last night, because I had to finish my term paper and there's still too much caffeine in my blood to sleep NOW.)

Whatever. quidscribis, what time is it in YOUR country/state/world?

By the way: how many posts are necessary until you are a 'Member', and not a 'New Member' anymore? I didn't keep attention to the number of my posts, but I'm curious.

Pinky, I think it's about 10 posts to become a Member. I'm not sure either.

My time right now is 11:47 pm. Let's see what the hatrack clock says.

10 posts is not a lot, regarding the average output in this forum. [Wink]

Is there daylight savings time at the poles/equator?

We're close to the equator - about 6 degrees north of it. We don't have DST here.

Wow, that can be pretty practical. If someone from a country with daylight savings time wants to visit you, it would save an whole hour of travelling, if he does so in summer instead of winter! [Big Grin]

I wonder if that's BECAUSE of the equator. Wouldn't that be strange?
I mean, it's differrent with the poles - there, you can literally step from one longitude to the next, when you're near enough to the pole.

There are lots of countries that don't do DST, right? Which ones are they? Wouldn't that mess things up for things like closing stock exchanges and international business dealings and stuff?

I am mad at the idea of daylight savings time. I have to do it for the first time ever this week, not a nice idea. It was just getting light enough in the morning before my 8 oclock class and now it'll still be dark.

Not my man mitch.
