Well this will probably go horribly wrong, but I am bored at work and enjoy forum games. It seemed possible that this might actually work on the hatrack forums. You know the game where somebody starts a story, and then you go through every person in the circle, and they add just alittle bit to the end of the story to keep it going. Well I have decided to try this game here on these forums. Rules are pretty easy.
1: You can write as much as you want but remember the longer your post the potential for boredom could increase.
2: When you wish to add to the tail end of the story dont just type up your entry and then try to post, there may be multiple people writing from the same moment. Post the word "Adding" and then simply edit your post with your addition so people know to wait until you are done.
3: Humor is appreciated, but try to make it the natural progression of the story. Interupting a serious moment with something like, "And then the stay puf'd marshmallow man came down from heaven and shared his candy with EVERYONE!" is politely discouraged. The purpose of this game REALLY isnt to see how absurd we can get things.
4: If you wish to totally reset the story as it has become uninteresting you may only do so if the story has been added to at least 5 times. Also be prepared to face the anger of other posters if you reset the story and most people thought it had just got interesting.
5: If Mr. Card wishes to add his own additions this is greatly encouraged!
I am excited to see what the community is capable of producing, I apologize in advance that I must start all this with my own poor writing.
The explosion ripped the car apart, and my view of the road was momentarily covered by a blanket of flames rolling over my windshield. The scream of flames sounded in my ears, and settled inside my head as the fire evaporated. I stared straight ahead for just a moment before I unbuckled my seatbelt, and opened my door. One look at the car and I knew there was nobody alive in that wreck. The odor of burnt fuel and humanity made me hope I was right. Not that the smell bothered me that much, I had seen plenty of fires and for that matter corpses ON fire during my days. I scarcely took a step forward when a cone came screaming towards me from my right, and plunged into the car just in front of the wreck, engulfing it in flames. The roar knocked me onto my back, and all I had time to think of, was that all this was beyond any accident.

"The cones!" I thought. "They've finally turned on us."
Eyes wide with the onset of panic, I turned back to the construction site I'd just passed -- and indeed it was engulfed in flames, crumpled cars piled up beneath an onslaught of cones.
Even worse, though, I realized with a start, were the barrels.

dont trust people to be this inteligent, also by doing things this way you do not type up a long response only to find that somebody beat you. You can just wait til the person posts, reserve your spot and start writing.
