From the Seattle Times:

quote:

For the fifth time in a week, a stash of drugs was found in a cabinet at a Home Depot in Massachusetts or discovered after the fixture was brought home.

A plumber in Southwick discovered 40 pounds of marijuana and three kilograms of cocaine in a bathroom vanity he had purchased at a Home Depot in Chicopee.

A second stash was found at that store and at least two more were discovered at a Tewksbury Home Depot, Southwick Police Lt. David Ricardi said. One of the Tewksbury stashes was discovered June 8 after a customer brought home a cabinet and found 50 pounds of marijuana. Police also found drugs in a fifth cabinet. Ricardi would not say where or when it was discovered but said it was in the past week.

"It's a smuggling oepration gone bad," Ricardi said.

They should've smuggled it in boxes of Easy Mac and Raman Noodles.

At least then it's getting to its target demographic.

I don't get the joke, Lyrhawn.
Poor people eat mac and cheese and buy/sell marijuana?

Or is it that dumb people eat mac and cheese and Ramen noodles and buy/sell marijuana? Because you would have to be pretty dumb to lose that much of your stash.

No. Its not a smuggling scam gone bad.

Other things it could be:

1) Can you say, Frequent Shopper Reward
2) Home Depot passes Wal-Mart in One Stop Shopping
3) Number one HD complaint from their complaint box was, "You'd have to be stoned out of your gourd to try that project yourself" so...
4) Hey, the profits on hard drugs is only slightly less than that on Black & Decker power tools.

And the true secret behind this...
5) Its all a plot by Lowes.

True that. Except if they did that, it's more likely it'd be found by the store clerks. Unless they hid it actually inside the boxes of easy mac. In place of the mac.

I would think that youd kind of check for things inside a cabinet if it was fifty pounds overweight O_o That's enough to notice something...
